The Thing (1982)

John Carpenter's "The Thing" is a science fiction horror film. Scientists are stranded in an Antarctica research station when they uncover a parasitic extraterrestrial life form that assimilates other organisms and imitates them (a "shape-shifter"). The Shining (1980)

After he and his family move in, Jack becomes affected by the supernatural presence of the hotel and descends into madness, attempting to murder his wife and son. The Exorcist (1973)

In this horror film directed by William Friedkin, a young girl is possessed by a demonic entity and her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her.
